Wishy Washy
Wishy Washy is a 2D pixel art game about cleaning windows in a city of disasters. Nuclear meltdowns, giant squid attacks, and an aerial assault from a flying spaghetti monster have left this city in need of a deep cleaning, and you’re here to do it. You follow the game’s protagonist in their daily work life attempting to fulfill customer requests to wipe buildings clean. It’ll take swift, precise movements to finish your jobs before dark—before the next disaster strikes.
My Role: I was the documentation lead as well as a producer and designer on this inaugural project of Open Alpha. This USC organization takes a game idea from conception to an open alpha release each semester! I helped run the Azure DevOps project using the Agile methodology to track development progress and coordinate tasks for the 18 team members. I also recorded in depth meeting minutes for weekly team meetings as well as photo-documenting work boards and presentations done by team members. I was also the host for our game’s release video that featured gameplay highlights and project leads discussing the development process.

Wishy Washy is a single player game that follows Squeegee the window washer as they work to clean buildings after various perilous disasters continue to hit their city. Moving side-to-side, spraying the correct cleaning fluid, wiping away stains, and building up money to buy upgrades in the shop before taking the train back home is Squeegee’s day-to-day. The player must balance nimble movement and speed with cognizance of the amount of fluid they have remaining lest they spill it while it autofills. Tuning these skills allows the player to clean the most amount of stains before night comes and makes it nigh impossible. If only there were an upgrade for that…
