Players begin by going through their debrief from Viracorp’s resident AI, Megan, before filling out a test to determine their proficiencies as new recruits. The most proficient are given access bracelets that allow them into The Refrigerator, a visually secluded section of the room. Players must then work together to solve a series of riddles and puzzles to create the antidote for the pathogen before they all succumb to its effects after 30 minutes!</image:caption>

Their objective is to get these birds from the bottom of the board to the top, while staying ahead of the rising sea levels that mean certain doom. Players are given 3 cauldrons and 12 marbles each to divide amongst the cauldrons in any way they see fit. Then players will take turns sliding one of their cauldrons onto the board until all cauldrons are on the board. Then final positions of the cauldrons will be scored. Players score the most for being closest to the center of the board, but they could also lose points for being too far from the center, outside of the gray area, or even off the table! Two things are sure in Collision!: marbles will fly and fun will be had!</image:caption>

This is a non-linear room, unlike many other escape rooms, so players are able to split up and search for clues or move on from a puzzle if they are stumped. The room also features a live ringmaster that plays a pivotal part in the story of the room, while also acting as the hint giver. Midnight Circus ran from Oct. 31st - Nov. 10th 2019.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Are You High? is a game meant to get you and your friends rolling on the floor laughing. Each round has a Host that will read out the start of a joke to the rest of the party Guests. The Guests will respond with the best punch line they can think of. Whoever comes up with the worst joke gets Vibe Checked and has to commit a Party Foul in the form of drawing a High or Higher card and taking their punishment. Where things get even more interesting is the Persona system. Players each have a series of traits that they have to act out as they take more and more hits from their (fake) joint. If a player doesn’t live up to the wacky trait they are given, they too will get Vibe Checked! Are You High?’s hilarious gameplay is a great addition to any party!</image:caption>

<image:caption>TimeSCape took teams of six to seven incoming Dornsife College students through time and space as they worked to solve puzzles to find artifacts that had been left in the wrong places by Dr. Kronos. By retrieving these artifacts from across time and putting them back in place in the final puzzle, students were able to stop the unstable time rift that was threatening to tear apart 2087! Logic puzzles in The Golden Age of Piracy, Kente cloth puzzles in Ghana, and balancing puzzles in Baghdad were just a taste of this nearly six hour experience! Student teams’ times were tracked as they completed the puzzles with hints used added as time penalties and Dornsife awarded prizes to the three fastest finishing teams.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Spooky Speakeasy takes the player through the story of bartender in a fantastical town facing eviction at the hands of an evil corporation. The player must make some incredibly spooky drinks and bond with their unique clientele to try and save their doomed bar. The player pours, tops, and mixes drinks using an array of ingredients. Customers come up to the counter with the drink orders and vague descriptions of their contents, leaving the player with the task of puzzling together what exactly will go into their drink. If the drink is satisfactory, the player may invite that monster to stay after the bar closes for some deep conversations and opportunities to bond. The player has a week to build relationships and spooky concoctions before they find out if which ending their actions have brought them to.</image:caption>

      <image:title>About - Ben Heid</image:title>
<image:caption>I am a games producer, designer, and mentor as well as a former Counter-Strike semi-professional player! I began my games career as a Computer Science & Game Development major at Northeastern University in Boston before transferring to the Computer Science (Games) program and then the Interactive Media and Game Design program at USC. Once there, I started a new journey, as I realized my passion for production! Since then, I have been able to work with multiple teams of incredibly talented designers and artists across triple AAA and indie studios to create high quality digital games, board games, and escape rooms! I have learned to not only oversee and facilitate the design process, but to apply my knowledge of design to help my teammates with any new challenges. I work with people. I work to know everyone on my team. Be it what they see the project as, who they work best with, or things they are struggling with in their outside life, I work to ensure that everybody feels heard. But just as important is my ability to halt an aspect of a project or communicate issues to team members in a way that is both respectful and decisive. My approach to production is centered around clarity and camaraderie. I ensure that every person on a team knows what they need to do while being able to voice what they want to do. I strive to find the balance between production limits and creative freedom in order to create the best product for players and the best production environment for developers.</image:caption>
